First Aid certifications are good for three years. At which time you are required to re-certify. To renew your SFA certifications subsequently, award holders must repeat a full SFA course. Thereafter, individuals may renew by alternating re-certifications and original course. We recommend annual retraining for CPR skills. Many employers require it. If your skills are more than one year out of date, you should take a full CPR-C course.
